For those of you waiting for the announced Nokia E66 and E71, the wait is almost over. A website recently got their hands official press images of what is supposed to be the Nokia E66 and Nokia E71. The E71 phone will the successor to the successful and popular E61 and E61i while the E66 follows the E65.
These devices is said to include Wifi, HSDPA, GPS and a 3.2 megapixel camera. They are not the prettiest smartphones in the market if you base your judgement on the pictures, but we’ll all just have to wait and see.Tuesday, May 27, 2008
3G iPhone ‘Real’ Photos
We have showed you so far a bunch of so called 3G iPhone designs. They were black, they were white, they were slim and curvy. We even had some of AT&T choice menu for the new iPhone 2. All these proved to be misleading rumors or human errors.
That’s why I though I’d show you some more ingenious edited photos. This isn’t the 3G version although that’s what they pretend it its. They say the new iPhone will be available in red, white and black and they try to hint some changes like the camera placement or design. For starters they were showed on a greek iPhone site, which is hardly the place they will be released first.
Moving on then. We have almost two weeks for others to deliver more iPhone 3G designs.
Will Apple Go for Solar Batteries?
Apple filed a patent application on April 24th 2008 with the title “Sollar cells on portable devices”. Is that thinking out of the box or what? Imagine having your iPod, MacBook or your brand new iPhone equipped with such an alternative power means? They would charge as you go giving you extra hours or wireless fun and work.
The application says
Solar cells are typically stacked with other layers made of transparent or semi-transparent materials… Some of these layers may be used for display or input purposes, and some layers may be coated with various materials or they may be etched with product logos or other patterns.
That means that no matter how you hold your Apple device or no matter what weather we have, you would get some energy from the sun. I can’t wait to let you know these batteries are actually used in a device.

Zune 2.5 adds TV shows, Zune Card sharing
Don't worry if you're not a Zune Pass subscriber though, you can still see the playlist, you'll just have to flag the track you dig for purchase later when you get to a computer. And when you do get to your browser, you'll find that the video store is now full of 4,800 music videos and downloadable TV shows for $2 a pop. You'll have to stick to YouTube and other social video networks to share original content, for now, but Microsoft has left that particular door open. In fact, the social aspect of the device is increasing dramatically. Not only do you get the aforementioned playlist access, you can see dynamic lists that show what your friends are jamming to right now. And you can turn around and review the album it came from for everyone to see. They've integrated "now playing" data into Windows Live Messenger and even offers drag-and-drop metadata editing. They've also borrowed from X-BOX by offering achievement points for listening more than anyone else to a specific artist or helping others in the Zune forums. Clearly, Microsoft is trying to build a whole Zune community, and 2.5 is a step in the right direction. I'm not sure if they can encroach on iTunes domination in this market just yet, but with the prevalence of the PC and continued strength of the X-BOX, more smart moves in this direction could only strengthen their position. To really succeed though, Microsoft needs to fully integrate all of these devices. For example, why not let people port over video purchased on the 360 to the Zune for mobile viewing? Microsoft is supposed to be about ease and convenience, so make file sharing and compatibility standard between Microsoft devices. Then everyone wins.
Microsoft has released their latest Zune software upgrade, and while it finally offers gapless playback and features the return of the playlists, though not quite as robust as they once were, the most notable difference on the Zune itself is the ability to view and play your friends' playlists directly from your Zune rather than having to run over to your browser, so long as you both are Zune Pass subscribers. This feature takes about 100meg per friend's card.

Microsoft unveiled its latest accessory, the Microsoft LifeCam. The series includes three models, including the VX-5000, VX-500 and LX-2000. With a unique bendable attachment base that you can use with pretty much any surface (either on your laptop or your desktop), it comes in a convenient size so you can carry it around.
The LifeCam VX-5000 webcam has a colored ring around the front of the webcam, available in Cool Blue, Lucky Green and Fire Red. It comes with MSN Photo Swap, allowing you to share photos during a video conversation. The other two models are affordable ones: the VX-500 is your basic webcam while the LX-2000 features a full-size headset.

I thought I was having a nightmare for a second there. Why would anyone create a skin based on a Microsoft operating system that not only didn’t work as supposed to but it also tried and failed to copy Apple’s OS. So why on Earth would you do that to your iPhone?
VistaPerfection 2.0 is a Windows Vista skin with icons, wallpapers sound effects, a Sidebar and a Start menu. Would I do it to my iPhone? No I wouldn’t. Would I throw eggs at Steve Ballmer for what he did with Vista and more? Where’s the eggs basket?
